I started IRCing pretty soon after I finally got a permanent DSL connection at home, at the time I was playing an online strategy game, and like all of those games it was mainly coördinated over IRC.
It didn't take me long to find mIRC's remote section, and it took me even less time to become... attached... to it. I quickly learned how to script (and what programming was about in general), and landed on sites like mircscripts.org to submit my stuff, and see that of others (I learned most by looking at others' work - call me a ripper if you will, but I say mIRC is open source :)).
When mirc.net reopened I joined it right away, and it slowly began to take preference over ms.org, right now I like mirc.net most of all mIRC community sites, and visit it the most. And they seem to like me too since they came begging at my feet for me to become a reviewer here! :evillaugh:
Last couple of months I've primarily been hanging out in #mirc.net, helping others, having a nice chat sometimes, that sort of stuff. I don't script as much as I used to anymore, school has become more important, and I've spent more time on learning HTML, CSS, PHP, and other internet-related stuff.
