In total, I've been 'chatting' for just over 7 years since August/September 1999 - I joined DALnet (and IRC) however, in November 2001, and started helping almost straight away and have continued to do so ever since.
I was a part of ircscripts.com, which looked a bit like mIRC.net does today (where the original design of the new mIRC.net came from) which was owned by ethaniel. When that went down, and mIRC.net had been inactive for some time, ethaniel joined with magic and his gang (owners of mIRC.net) to develop mIRC.net and get it running again. Not long after, I became staff here. Now I am the bossy mean admin.
What do I do for the site? Well, I've reviewed a lot of scripts (I was reviewing scripts for ircscripts.com too so add some more on to the current figure) and virus check them too. I pass through updates, answer questions and occasionally through the day I'll come up with some idea for the site, which tye then kindly incorporates *grin*. I also moderate the site and forums as much as I can and I usually end up (willingly) dealing with any abuse the site gets - but only because I'm here far too much!
What else do I do on IRC? I op in #mIRC on EFnet, idle in #idlerpg and chat a lot (and play around!) in #sport on DALnet. Whilst I'm usually at the computer screen I spend a lot of time in my browser rather than in mIRC's window! I also help with moderating the mIRC message boards and moderating the mIRCScripts.com message boards.
If I'm online then I will be on, as I said before, #mIRC on EFnet, or #mIRC.net on Undernet too. For other channels, see the IRC Channels section below.
As far as real life is concerned, I live in Hertfordshire, England, with my sister (24) and brother-in-law (25), my niece (3) and nephew (1), and their dog (1). I have another sister (9) who lives with our mother (44) and our uncle (dunno how old he is).
Failed miserably in my exams so am re-doing Psychology at college and next year will probably do something like Law or whatever. I don't know fully yet.
I also work at Sainsbury's which is a large supermarket chain in the UK, where mainly my job involves supervising the checkout dept.
When I'm not doing any of the above (IRC/College/Work) then I'm usually getting pissed and smoking far too much. C'est la vie!
